Tim decided to pursue a career in psychology after recognizing the significant need for people to process their traumas. Despite his background in Mechanical Engineering, Tim developed a keen interest in understanding human behavior. This interest intensified during his time in Sweden, where he became fascinated by the local culture. Eager to comprehend why people think, feel, and behave in certain ways, and how to positively influence them, Tim enrolled in a postgraduate Master of Arts program in Marriage and Family Therapy and Counselling.

While studying at the college, Tim not only acquired valuable theoretical knowledge and practical experience in therapy but also met Beverley, his future wife from Scotland, who was enrolled in the same program. The couple, sharing a mutual interest in psychology and relationship building, later moved to Dundee, Scotland, and got married. In 2010, Tim began volunteering as a counsellor with Insight Counselling in Dundee and established Dundee Counselling in August 2012.

In his personal life, Tim enjoys home improvement projects, travelling and trying new whiskies. He and Bev are proud parents to three sons: Jonathan, Andrew, and Daniel.
