Registered Member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy)
Nicola’s approach to counselling is gentle and non-judgemental, with an emphasis on recognizing the uniqueness of each individual. She understands that building a warm, safe, and supportive relationship is essential in facilitating therapeutic change.
Nicola, originally from Scotland, has a diverse background. While raising her family, she has lived and travelled across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. Her initial studies were in design at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, but she found her interactions with colleagues and clients to be the most fulfilling part of her work. These experiences, along with her personal life journey, have greatly influenced her interest in psychotherapy and counselling.
With an MSc in Counselling and training in the Pluralistic approach, Nicola employs a variety of therapeutic techniques. These include Person-Centred, Compassion-Focused, Solution-Focused approaches, and the use of creativity in therapy.
Nicola values the collaborative and compassionate nature of counselling. She offers a space where clients can gain understanding and insight into their experiences and strengths. Working at a pace comfortable for the client, she supports their journey towards growth and self-discovery.
Nicola is a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
